International Charities That Fight Aids
In terms of world health crises, one of the most critical and disturbing in the world today is the AIDS crisis. Many world charities are stepping up to provide prevention and treatment assistance throughout the world. The need for international charity assistance is perhaps highest in Africa, where rates of HIV and AIDS are truly horrifying. In 2007, some 33.2 million people worldwide were living with HIV or AIDS. Two and a half million people were infected with HIV and 2.1 million people died of AIDS in just one year.
